Alex was born and rasied in the West Country of the United Kingdom. He started performing professionally at the age of 8, and moved to London to continue his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama at the age of 16. Alex studied at Middlesex University for his degree in Jazz Studies before taking off in 1999 to start a 10 year career as a musician and musical director for several cruise lines. During this time, Alex had the privilege of performing with and directing shows for Joel Grey, Charo, Bowser and Sha Na Na, Clint Holmes, Domenick Allen ("Foreigner"), The Platters, The Coasters, Tony Tillman and many more. Alex moved to Long Beach, California in 2003 where he performed in pit orchestras for musical theater companies while continuing to travel the world with various cruise lines. Alex and his wife now reside in Las Vegas where he runs the band "BackBeat Village U.S.". Alex can currently be found most nights at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino performing with "Mr. Las Vegas", Wayne Newton.
